Delightful Pan de Bono Recipe: A Taste of Colombia With Gleides

Ingredients:

  • Su Sabor Cassava Bread Mix

  • 300g of Costeño Cheese

  • 55g of Butter

  • 195ml of Water

  • Guava Paste (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Ingredients: Begin by crumbling the Costeño cheese into small pieces. This cheese will give your Pan de Bono its authentic Colombian flavor.

  2. Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, mix the softened butter with the Su Sabor Cassava Bread Mix. Once blended, add the crumbled cheese to the mixture, ensuring it is well incorporated.

  3. Hydrate the Dough: Slowly add water to the bowl, mixing continuously until the dough becomes smooth and non-sticky. This is crucial for forming the perfect Pan de Bono.

  4. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to preheat while you shape the dough. This ensures your bread will cook evenly.

  5. Shape Your Bread: Take portions of the dough and roll them into balls. If you’re using guava paste, press a hole into the center of each ball with your finger, place a piece of guava paste inside, and then close the dough around it. This will create a deliciously sweet core in each bread.

  6. Bake to Perfection: Arrange the dough balls on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven until they turn golden brown. The exact time may vary, so keep an eye on them to ensure they don't overcook.
